About Us

Phoenix Funds is a collaborative finance learning group at the University of Chicago. We are dedicated to making seemingly abstract financial theory accessible to undergraduate students through a variety of fun and engaging learning techniques, while exposing them to a tight-knit community where they can form real connections with both each other and the members of leadership. Our interactive and hands-on approach helps to make finance theory understandable and applicable to real-world situations.
We look for members with a genuine interest in finance and giving back to the club, all from a variety of backgrounds and interests. The diverse curriculum allows students to explore their interests in a variety of fields before deciding where to focus, allowing anyone from any major to succeed. We maintain a small, selective group on purpose, as it allows us to foster an engaged community.
Post Phoenix Funds, members have gone on to work in a wide range of fields, including investment banking, hedge funds, and academic research. Some of the employers are listed below.
